About Us

GTO The Gateway GTO Association was formed in 1984 and became the St. Louis area Chapter of the GTO Association of America that same year. Gateway was the fourth Chapter chartered by GTOAA. Today there are 42 GTOAA Chapters around the world totaling over 3,300 members. The seven founding members of the Gateway Chapter all shared a common passion for the Original Musclecar, the Pontiac GTO.

Our Club today numbers over 110 Members and Associate Members, most own at least one GTO - either from the original model years 1964-74, the modern era cars from 2004-06 or both. Our motto is "Family, fun and the GTO!" Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for people with the love of GTOs, new and old, to meet and have fun together. It is not necessary that you own a GTO to become a member, many members have joined before they acquired GTOs in order to tap GTO expertise within the Club to assist them in finding the right car as well as learning about restoration and maintenance.

The Club meets the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM at Gingham's, 1566 Country Club Plaza Drive, in St. Charles, Missouri. Over the course of the year our Club organizes and participates in a variety of shows, picnics, cruises, parties and other events. As forms of communication we publish a monthly newsletter called The Hood Scoop as well as maintain a new and growing website www.gatewaygto.org. Come to a monthly meeting or join us for an event on our calendar and check us out.
